Healthcare research agency Cello Health Insight has made two director level appointments from within to manage a training programme.

Leyla Itani (pictured right) joined Cello in 2006 as a researcher before moving into a learning and development role in 2010, combining her healthcare and market research industry knowledge with a background in psychology and education.

Helen Porter (left) joined Cello in 1999, and after eight years in a client-facing research role, moved her focus to coaching and training.

They will be overseeing a ‘BUILD’ initiative at Cello, which is an interactive career-long training programme encompassing seven core skill sets – with each skill set made up of up to 13 separate training ‘building blocks’, designed to be achieved across a complete career path, from research assistant to director.

The programme was developed by Itani who has been promoted to International Learning and Development director, and by Porter, who has been promoted to Learning and Development director.

“Very few agencies in our sector have such an extensive level of internal professional development support, but we believe it is vital if we are to stay at the forefront of our profession,” says Itani.
