PureTech appoints Michael MacLean as chief financial officer

PureTech Health has appointed Michael MacLean to the management team, as chief financial officer and executive vice president.
Michael MacLean joins PureTech, a "science-driven healthcare company seeking to develop disruptive solutions to address unmet medical needs and improve the lives of patients," from Iron Mountain, a FORTUNE 1000 global storage and information management company, where he was chief financial officer of its North American business, overseeing $2.2 bilion of annual revenue.
Previously, MacLean was senior vice president, finance and chief accounting officer at Biogen, a global biopharmaceutical company with annual revenues of more than $9bn. During this time he managed many of the finance and accounting functions and was responsible for structuring and managing collaborations and strategic acquisitions.
He also was an audit partner at global public accounting firms including KPMG, one of the largest professional services companies in the world where he supported global clients in industries including pharmaceuticals, medical devices and diagnostics.
