BioStorage Technologies, Inc., Promotes Jennifer Benner to Director of Global Quality Assurance

Benner joined BST in 2003 and spearheaded the creation of the company’s quality assurance department. In her new role, Benner will now oversee this department on both a local and global scale, ensuring the management of more than 130 standard operating procedures (SOPs), approval of all validation documents for ISISS® and remote alarm monitoring system and temperature mapping of storage units.
Benner is also responsible for facilitating all external audits and serves as the contact point for external quality assurance personnel. Benner’s staff performs quarterly internal audits of all BioStorage Technologies storage units, project folders, training folders and maintenance documentation. She also serves as the company’s safety officer and assistant radiation safety
officer.
“Jennifer has developed a quality foundation for the company’s global quality management system,” said F. John Mills, M.D., Ph.D., Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board. “As the company grows the Quality Assurance function will continue to be a cornerstone of our company’s continued success.”
Benner holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio. In addition, she is a registered member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologists and an affiliate member of the Society for Quality Assurance.
