Biochip Array Technology

The future of multi-analyte testing!

Biochip Array Technology (BAT) is a novel proprietary technology from Randox

BAT uniquely offers immunoassay and molecular diagnostic testing for simultaneous multi-analyte Biomarker detection.

After addition of a single patient sample to the biochip, analytes present in the sample bind to the specific Biochip bound ligands. The degree of binding is determined using a chemiluminescent light source and quantified using a Charge Coupled Device (CCD) camera and imaging system. Each biochip has 25 Discrete Test Regions (DTR’s) which each detect a different Biomarker. This means that 23 tests can be carried out simultaneously with two additional DTR’s reserved for internal quality control, a unique Biochip Array Technology feature.

Randox offer three biochip analysers, the Evidence, Evidence Investigator and the Evidence MultiStat. Each is suited to a different clinical setting. Whatever your testing need, Randox has it covered.

Additional services:

Randox not only provide world-class diagnostic reagents to CRO’s and Pharma companies for their in-house testing requirements.

With the launch of Randox Testing Services, we now carry out routine clinical and novel testing for clients looking to outsource or in need of our expertise in assay development.

Given our outstanding pedigree in the manufacture of clinical chemistry analysers & reagents, quality control sera and our Biochip Array Multiplex technology, we are uniquely positioned to offer your clinical trial testing improvements in speed, quality and cost effectiveness.

Randox’s reputation was arguably founded on the superiority of its Quality Control sera and we remain one of the world’s leading producers.

Each year a significant proportion of our gross revenues are re-invested in research and development to ensure products are manufactured to the highest specifications and conform to international standards.

This commitment to quality is emphasised by ISO 13485 accreditation for the development and manufacture of diagnostic test kits.

The Randox quality control product portfolio guarantees outstanding performance.  Randox manufactures the full portfolio of quality control materials covering 170 parameters.  Principal control products are clinical chemistry, immunoassay, urine, proteins, lipids, cardiac, CSF, cytokines and drugs multisera.  Mono and special controls are also available, along with a corresponding range of multi and mono calibrators.

Randox also offers two associated quality control reporting services.  Firstly, 24/7, an internal, internet driven peer group reporting system.  Secondly, our external quality assessment scheme, RIQAS.  This is the largest global proficiency testing (EQA) scheme in the world, and is utilised by over 10,000 participants globally.
