New role for McCann’s Andrew Berrie

Andrew Berrie’s roll within McCann Healthcare Worldwide’s Medical Communications arm has been enlarged. 

His remit will now also include being director of operational excellence for McCann’s Medical Communications global rollout.

He will maintain his existing responsibilities within the Complete Medical Group for overseeing operations, including governance. 

Charlie Buckwell, worldwide head of medical communications at McCann Healthcare Worldwide, said: “In this new role, Andrew will be working closely with the various CMG domestic offices in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific to ensure the right support is provided to help develop the medical communications operations.

“Andrew will have a special focus on building the editorial and scientific expertise within the business and reviewing project delivery processes.”

Berrie will be leading ongoing development of the med comms academy, a broad ranging training platform (encompassing physical training/ mentoring and online resources/ community) to help develop capabilities and, as far as possible, consistent approaches around the global med comms network.

Berrie joined the Compete Medical Group (CMG) in 1991 and has over 23 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical and medical communications industry. Before joining CMG, Berrie worked in the medical research and regulatory departments at Sanofi UK.
