Rebecca Lim to head up WorldEvents’ Asian expansion

Rebecca Lim has been appointed by WorldEvents to lead its new Hong Kong office.
She is an event professional with extensive experience of working in Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai.
Commenting on her appointment Rebecca said: “I am delighted to be joining WorldEvents I am very excited by their vision and strategy and the potential we have in the Asian market. I attended their company conference in July and really got to know them well.
“I have the back up of a large team who will support me in the development of the business here.”
Prior to joining WorldEvents, she worked with Jack Morton and Saatchi & Saatchi with a number of national and international clients.
UK-headquartered WorldEvents has already established additional European bases in Germany and Switzerland this year, but its newest location is its first in Asia.
Group executive chairman Graham Keene said: “We are extremely pleased to continue our global development by establishing a presence in Asia. This represents a real step forward for us in our development as a business. The Asian market is going to become increasingly important in the years ahead and it is vital we are able to take advantage of the growing opportunity.”
The company already has some projects under discussion with potential clients and said it would use team members local to where events take place to maximise efficiencies from a cost and carbon footprint perspective.
