Independent PR agency Chandler Chicco acquired
The world's largest private healthcare PR firm Chandler Chicco Agency has been bought out by US marketing group inVentiv Health for $65 million.
inVentiv was impressed by CCA's long-term client relationships and history of growth and the deal will increase the resources available to the agency to pursue its global expansion plans.
The CCA brand remains, as do founders Robert Chandler and Gianfranco Chicco who continue to lead the business.
Gianfranco Chicco said: "This partnership allows us to scale up globally at warp speed and with greater authority, while maintaining our culture of success. It is an ideal partnership."
The agency was founded in 1995 and its client roster includes Allergan, GlaxoSmithKline, and Novartis.
inVentiv chairman Eran Broshy said: "In today's competitive marketplace, our pharmaceutical clients are increasingly turning to public relations to build awareness, credibility and loyalty for their products.
"Adding CCA to our portfolio of services will significantly expand our PR offering, while also broadening our global capabilities."
inVentiv's acquisition gives the company "a leadership position" in PR Broshy said.
